Early literacy fun that families can enjoy together at home!
When reading with your child, let them take the lead in the experience. Let them choose which book they would like to look at, and don’t worry if you don’t finish the whole book. Involve a favorite stuffed animal or toy and snuggle up in your favorite blanket. Perhaps even create your own storytime with an audience of favorite toys! By making reading a positive and enjoyable experience, you are encouraging a lifelong love of reading.
If you and your child would like to be featured in a WNPL media post, please send a picture of you completing this activity to jhaydysch@wnpl.info. Be sure to include your names, date, and what you are doing. We would love to see your smiling faces!
