Early literacy fun that families can enjoy together at home!
Learn Baby Sign Language with your child! Visit babysignlanguage.com or check out an ebook or evideo from the library and choose one new sign you can use to communicate with your child. Pick signs that apply to situations your child is in frequently: please, thank you, help, hungry, tired, share, etc. Be sure to use the signs in everyday conversations and emphasize their meaning by repeating them. The more words your child learns, the more their vocabulary will increase!
If you and your child would like to be featured in a WNPL media post, please send a picture of you completing this activity to jhaydysch@wnpl.info. Be sure to include your names, date, and what you are doing. We would love to see your smiling faces!
