Early literacy fun that families can enjoy together at home!
Head outside to paint with water! Fill a bucket or pail with water, grab a paintbrush or sponge (of any size), and work alongside your child to paint pictures all over your driveway, sidewalk, or patio. This is an easy, mess-free activity that promotes fine motor skills and print awareness… and gives you a way to cool off in the summer heat! Swimsuit recommended but not required.
If you and your child would like to be featured in a WNPL media post, please send a picture of you completing this activity to jhaydysch@wnpl.info. Be sure to include your names, date, and what you are doing. We would love to see your smiling faces!
