Early literacy fun that families can enjoy together at home!
Stop by the Youth Services Desk any time during normal operating hours to pick up supplies for this week's Toddler Time activity! Supplies are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis beginning today.
On a plain sheet of paper or cardstock, create a scene with parts missing, such as a tree without leaves or a ladybug without spots. (You can also search the internet for "play dough mats" for ready-made scenes to print.) Laminate the paper using clear contact paper. Place the laminated mat on a baking sheet, if desired, and give your child two or more different colors of play dough. Encourage your child to complete the picture on the mat using the dough. See if they can make ropes or balls... or the first letter of their name! To create a true Picasso effect, allow your child to mix and squish the doughs together.
