Did you know that the catapult was invented by the Ancient Greeks? This invention was so effective that it was used by many countries up until Medieval times. Some catapults could launch projectiles weighing over 350 pounds over 300 feet! When we talk about the science behind a catapult, we are talking about trajectory and projectiles. Trajectory- the path followed by a projectile flying or an object moving under the action of given forces. Projectile- a body projected or impelled forward, as through the air. The design of a catapult is quite simple but it packs a powerful punch. Let's make a miniature one!
