Early literacy fun that families can enjoy together at home!
Stop by the Youth Services Desk at the library during normal operating hours to pick up supplies to make this week's activity at home! Supplies are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis beginning Tuesday, August 25th.
Make some discovery bottles for your child to explore! Collect several empty water bottles with caps. Have your child put a few small items in each bottle (see some suggestions below). You can leave the items on their own, or add water, baby oil, or hair gel. The thicker the substrate is, the less mobile the items will be. Seal the cap using glue (hot glue works best), make sure the glue is cool and hardened, then let your child seek, find, shake, and explore!
