Hispanic Heritage Celebration SAT., SEPT. 24, 10AM-12PM
WNPL is excited to invite you to our upcoming Hispanic Heritage Cultural Celebration being held on Saturday, September 24th from 10am-12pm. Enjoy a variety of fun performances and activities including traditional music, dance performances, and other cultural presentations brought to you with the support of WNPL community partners. Including performances by Esperanza Academy of Music & Arts, LatinoXpressions Dance Studio, Mexico en la Piel Folkloric Ballet, and an amate art display brought to us by Woodland District 50. No registration is required.
Children that register for our bookmark art contest will receive free books and free goodie bags with library card sign up information, while quantities last. We will also have a variety of fun Take-and-Make activities inspired by Hispanic culture, while quantities last. As this is the start of the school year, we will have the Lake County Health Department present with free healthcare supplies, free books, and the opportunity for students to book a school physical. We will also have resource tables available with community partner’s upcoming programs, events, and services. Participate in WNPL’s Hispanic Heritage Bookmark Art Contest. First, second, and third prizes offered for the following age groups: Grades K-2; 3-5 and 6-8.

Celebración de la Herencia Hispana SÁB., SEPT. 24, 10AM-12PM
WNPL se complace en invitarlo a nuestra Celebración Cultural de la Herencia Hispana que se llevará a cabo el sábado 24 de septiembre de 10 am a 12 pm. Disfrute de una variedad de presentaciones y actividades divertidas que incluyen música tradicional, una presentación de baile y otras presentaciones culturales que se le presentan con el apoyo de los socios de la comunidad WNPL. Incluyendo Esperanza Academy of Music & Arts, LatinoXpressions Dance Studio, Mexico en la Piel Folkloric Ballet y una exhibición de arte amate presentada por el Distrito 50 de Woodland. Tambien tendran la oportunidad para regístrarse para participar en el concurso de arte de marcador de libros para el mes de la herencia hispana en WNPL. Se ofrecerán premios de primero, segundo y tercer lugar para los siguientes grupos de edad: Grados K-2; 3-5 y 6-8.
Los niños que se registren para participar en nuestro concurso de arte de marcapáginas recibirán libros gratis y bolsas de obsequios gratis con información de registro de la tarjeta de la biblioteca, hasta agotar existencias. También tendremos una variedad de actividades divertidas inspiradas por la cultura hispana, hasta agotar existencias. Como este es el comienzo del año escolar, tendremos presente al Departamento de Salud del Condado de Lake dando obsequios y libros gratuitos, y la oportunidad para que los estudiantes reserven un examen físico escolar. También tendremos mesas de recursos disponibles con la información de programas, eventos y servicios de nuestros socios comunitarios.
